A Letter from the Founder 

Anita Dickens is a Newark Native, woman and minority business owner who identifies with many female menswear designers. She stands on the shoulders of many who broke barriers while fulfilling their dream and love doing it. Her inspirations come from the community and individuals in the Fashion or Entertainment industry like Ann Lowe, Ralph Lauren, April Walker, Kanye West, Ellen DeGeneres, and Usher Raymond to name a few. To me, they are the epitome of fashion forward individuals that the world took notice to. Starting a fashion label is not only a desire it has developed to a passion.

I chose to experiment with denim because the ability to create various design options. I respectfully enter the industry as a humble denim connoisseur as an extension to create unapologetically.

So, in 2019, SARTORIAL BLUE was developed for men and women in ready to wear denim shirts along with custom services.  Everyone loves denim to some degree and wants to look their finest in an everyday garment curated to their lifestyle.
